Has it changed the way you treat your neighbors? Has it made you feel any more or less compassionate for the plight of the poor or those who live in destitute places like Haiti? Has it affected your faith (or lack of faith) in any way?

It made me think more about the world as a whole and how we can kinda come all together in times like these. But to be honest, the news is almost unfair because they put such emphasis on the Haiti earthquake (which I of course think is necessary) but theres so many more people suffering out there our world and we never make it todays headlines you know? I mean, I can only say so much. Im still learning and Im a pretty young girl. But I do know that theres so much more in this world thats just as crazy as Haiti and its almost unfair that we kinda seem to put a hush to them. But to completley answer your question- I will always be compassionate towards Haiti (its pretty hard not to be when you realize what devastation they are going thru) And I believe everything happens for a reason. And its something we cannot comprehend most of them time. Especially when cases like these happen
By the way- thanks for answering my geography question about the bias things on the map. You helped me a lot! And I found out the C was correct but also D was correct as well
It hasn’t. I’m still compassionate, but not any more so
Not really. Haiti had all sorts of problems years before the earthquake. I take pride in the fact that it doesn’t take a Fox news headline for me to care about the world around me.
