MDC and its partner agencies announced today that they have raised over $191,000 for the Haitian Relief Effort. MDC Partners donated over $117,000, which includes $58,787 of employee donations.

Haiti raises quake toll to 217,000
Port-au-Prince, Feb 11 (DPA) The Haitian government has said the toll in last month’s earthquake had risen to 217,000, backtracking from conflicting earlier statements of even higher totals.

Riverland serves Haitian lunch; raises $100 for Haiti
In a small Midwestern cafeteria Tuesday afternoon, students ate griot (Haitian roasted pork), red rice and beans and a Haitian vegetable salad. The ethnic meal was provided by Riverland Community College’s chapter of Amnesty International.
